Arlene Cleva Lantz, the daughter of Ray and Edla (Peterson) Veseen was born May 20, 1921, on a farm south of Stanton, Iowa in Grant Township. She passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at the Stanton Care Center, Stanton, Iowa, at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 14 days. Arlene attended eight years of school at Pittsburg School. She then attended Stanton High School, graduating in 1939. Arlene was united in marriage to Robert A. Lantz on April 3, 1944, in Stanton. After Robert's return from the service, they moved to a farm southeast of Red Oak and made it their home for thirty years. Arlene and Bob have two sons, Curtis and Dennis. She loved to work outside helping Robert, and tending to her garden. In 1983, when Robert's health started to fail, they moved to Red Oak. Arlene was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton and a member of Ladies Aid Society. Arlene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert A. Lantz on December 2, 1993; brother, Calvin Veseen; sister-in-law, Phyllis Veseen; brother-in-law, Joe Thomas; and brother-in-law, Wayne Ranniger. Arlene is survived by sons: Curtis Lantz and wife, Joyce of Clarinda, Iowa; and Dennis Lantz and wife, Martha of Red Oak, Iowa; granddaughters, Jennifer Meyer and husband, Dale of Kansas City, Missouri; Jamie Lindsay and husband, Jim of Clarinda, Iowa; and Sara Lantz of Omaha, Nebraska; great-granddaughters: Jensen and Kallyn Meyer; great-grandsons: Nathan, Kaedon and Colton Lindsay; and sister, Lucille Ranniger of Manning, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Mamrelund Lutheran Church, Stanton, IA Burial in Mamre Cemetery, Stanton, IA Rev.
