Betty Louise Bullington, the daughter of Otho W. and Lillian (Million) Lewis was born August 5, 1929, in Rockport, Missouri. She passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, surrounded by her family in Papillion, Nebraska, the age of 92 years, 3 months and 18 days.

Betty was raised in Rockport, Missouri. While in high school, the family moved to Emerson, Iowa, where she graduated from Emerson High School in 1947. Betty was united in marriage to Cecil Bullington on December 19, 1947, in Emerson, Iowa. She worked as a nanny for Carolyn Haskell. Betty and Cecil had lived in Red Oak, Iowa, and Boise, Idaho, before moving to the Gilmore farm in Red Oak, Iowa, in 1962 and in 1993, moved to their current home south of Red Oak. Over the years, Betty worked for Earl May Nursery, Good Samaritan and for many years at Union Carbide Battery Company, from which she retired. Betty enjoyed quilting, sewing, traveling, and gardening. She was a loving and compassionate lady who loved on children and babies and held a special place in heart for animals. Betty belonged to God's church.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara Alexander; granddaughter, Sarah Bryhan; sisters: Lorna Brown, Mary Jane Waymire; and brothers: William Lewis, Gary Lewis and Karen Lewis.

Betty is survived by her husband of 74 years, Cecil Bullington of Red Oak, IA; 6 children: Chris (Carol) Bullington of Stanton, IA, Regina (John) Warkentin of Papillion, NE, Kent (Jaylene) Bullington of Elliott, IA, Wade (Nancy) Bullington of Red Oak, IA, Kirk Bullington of Papillion, NE, Joe (Serina) Bullington of Papillion, NE; son-in-law, Tim Alexander; 21 grandchildren: Jim (Rhonda) Bullington, Terri (Josh) Raymer, Dr. Roni (Chris) Pinkerton-Hargis, Dawn (Chris) Klamert, Gina (Ron) Spencer, Austin (Lindsey) Bullington, Dr. Aaron Bullington, Aric (Mindy) Bullington, Josh (Debbie) Bullington, Tracy (Charles) Luke, Timothy (Ronda) Wilkinson, Tebra (Kurt) Haupert, Branden (Jenny) Bullington, Scott (Alishia) Bullington, Dominica Bullington, Kristina (Nick) Tyrance, Alexandra Bullington, Gianna Bullington, Anna Steckis, Toni (Bill Neiman) Alexander, Peter (Priscilla) Alexander; 43 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon Mitchell of Corning, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family present on Sunday, December 5, 2021, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home.
