Betty Jean Wilson, the daughter of Sheldon and Pauline (Bishop) Hagglund was born April 28, 1930 in Red Oak, Iowa. She passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Red Oak Healthcare Community, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 12 days. Betty was raised in Red Oak and graduated from Red Oak High School. She was united in marriage to George C. Wilson on November 28, 1952 in Red Oak, Iowa. Betty worked as a nurse aide at Murphy Memorial Hospital, and for a number of years, cooked at Sunshine & Rainbows. Betty enjoyed reading and was a member of Faith Community Church in Red Oak. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George on March 29, 1980. Betty is survived by two sons: Bill Wilson of Blair, NE; and Jerry Wilson of Concord, CA; daughter, Susan Berlowitz of New York, NY; and two grandchildren: Chad and Andrew.
