He passed away peacefully at his sister Lana’s home after an active life to the end, in Red Oak, Iowa, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 90 years and 5 days.

Bryce graduated from Wales-Lincoln High School, Wales, Iowa, in 1953, and entered the U. S. AirForce during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he relocated to the west coast in Washington and Oregon. Bryce was united in marriage Barbara Miller. Bryce and Barbara adopted two sons: Bryan and Brad. Barbara passed away on September 3, 1969. He dedicated his life to his family as a Payco man, telling his sons he could fix anything, and he could. He was of quite strength and reliability and a loved father who enjoyed golfing and driving. He later married Diana and traveled, built businesses and lived on the coast of Spain. Bryce later moved back to the United States, living in Maryland and South Carolina. Bryce eventually moved to Red Oak to be closer to his sisters.

Bryce is survived and dearly missed by his son, Bryan (Joy) Bird of Washington; one grandson, Bryce; and sisters: Janice (Tom) Penry of Red Oak IA, Ada Jipsen of Red Oak, IA, Lana Moyer of Red Oak, IA and Pam (Marvin) Wagner of Mankato, KS; daughter-in-law, Mimi and his beloved Diana. Bryce also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their Uncle Bryce, other relatives and friends.
