Carol Joyce Bills, the daughter Lyle L. and Pasty (McFarland) Hudson was born May 12, 1938 in Montgomery County, Iowa. She passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 12 days. Carol was raised in the Red Oak area. She graduated from Emerson High School in l954. In 1955, Carol was united in marriage to Jack LaMar in Red Oak, Iowa and to this union two sons were born. They lived in Des Moines, Iowa from 1955 until 1960, when they moved to Emerson, Iowa. Carol made Red Oak her home in l964, and was united in marriage that same year to Bernard Bills. In 1974, Carol began a 22 year career as a customer service representative for Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Insurance. After retiring in 1995, she went to work for CDS in 1996 and worked there until its closing. Carol enjoyed reading, working and researching information on the computer and most importantly, spending time with family, friends and her favorite dog, Katy. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey LaMar and grandson, Shane LaMar. Carol is survived by her son, Michael LaMar of Stanton, IA; granddaughter, Jessica Greever of Essex, IA; granddaughter-in-law, Amy Clark of Red Oak, IA; great-grandson, Lee LaMar and fiancée Sonia Lopez of Carson, IA; great-granddaughters: Trinity LaMar of Red Oak, IA and Zoe Greever of Essex, IA; brother, Dennis (Patricia) Hudson of Ft. Collins, CO and their daughters, Kim and Kristi; and special friend, Mari Lou Parsons; other relatives and many friends. May God bless her memory and give strength to those who mourn. Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Halland Village Community Room, Stanton, Iowa Memorials may be directed to the family in Carol's name.
