Carolyn Shipe, the daughter of Elmer and Caroline (Curtis) Windsor was born February 9, 1931 at Columbia, Missouri. She passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her daughter's home in Wellington, Colorado, at the age of 88 years.
Carolyn was raised on a farm near Columbia, MO, and graduated from Columbia High School in l949. On August 27, 1950, Carolyn was united in marriage to Charles Shipe at Columbia, MO. They made their home in Red Oak in 1951. Carolyn was an administrative assistant for 32 years with Union Carbide and Eveready Battery Company. She enjoyed camping, fishing and cooking. Carolyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles on September 1, 2009; infant son; son-in-law, Rick Hoover; brother, Tommy Windsor; and sisters: Anna Taylor, Jane Powell and Martha Lanham.
Carolyn is survived by her two children: Deb Hoover of Wellington, CO and Steve (Sue) Shipe of Bennington, NE; three grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Private Family Burial will be held at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, IA.
Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
