Charles Martin "Marty" King, the son of Virgil and Pansy (Schroeder) King was born June 8, 1950 at Creston, Iowa. He passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at his home in Stanton, Iowa at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 8 days.

Marty was raised in Red Oak, graduating from Red Oak High School in 1968. He was united in marriage to Pamela Gibson on December 27, 1969 at Red Oak, Iowa. He attended computer school in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked for Star Agri in Red Oak for 5 years, returning to Kansas City to attend Bible College. Marty was a sales manager for United Baker Supply and Pacesetters Window Company and sold advertising for KLJC radio before starting an 18-year career with the IRS in Kansas City. When he retired in 2018, he moved to Stanton, Iowa. Marty enjoyed hunting, playing pinochle, along with being a great chess player. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Red Oak.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents.

Marty is survived by three children: Angela (Galen) Carpenter of Clay Center, KS, Chad (Jessi) King of Omaha, NE and Brian (Amanda) King of Holden, MO; 4 grandchildren: Karsten, Remi, Kaden and Kaylee; sisters: Joann Williams of Stanton, IA and Jannette (Ronald) Farnum of Red Oak, IA; brothers: Ronnie King, Roger (Lynda) King and Marvin King all of Red Oak, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
