Corinne Carolyne Rasmussen, the daughter of Otto B. and Elsie L. Young Crandall, was born March 17, 1915 in Logan, Iowa. She died on Monday, September 1, 2008 at the Stanton Care Center, Stanton, Iowa at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 15 days.
Corinne was raised in Woodbine, Iowa. She graduated from Woodbine High School in 1933. Corinne was united in marriage to Wesley J. Rasmussen on February 8, 1941 in Papillion, Nebraska. She lived in Omaha, NE from 1941 to 1945, while Wesley served in the Army during WW II. They moved to Ankeny, Iowa in l945, then to Shenandoah in l948. In 1951, Corinne and Wesley made their home in Red Oak. Corrine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Red Oak. She became a resident of Stanton Care Center in May of 2001. Corinne enjoyed taking walks with her husband.
Corinne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley on December 28, 2000; and brother, Jack Crandall.
Corinne is survived by her son, Jon Rasmussen and wife Georgene of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandson, James Wesley Rasmussen of Springfield, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
