Obituary

Corliss Ann "Corky" Foster, the daughter of Floyd and Pearl (Shoemaker) Senter was born July 17, 1931 near Rippey, Iowa in Greene County. She passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 1 day. Corky was raised in Greene County, Iowa until the age of 10, when the family moved to Red Oak. She graduated from Red Oak High School and attended Red Oak Junior College for one year. Corky was united in marriage to Robert E. Foster on December 10, 1950 in Red Oak. She worked for Montgomery County National Bank, and later for Red Oak Internal Medicine, before retiring in l994. Corky was a member of the First Christian Church, where she served as a deacon and clerk, along with being active in their ladies circles. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. Corky was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert on May 6, 2006; sister, Veda Grosing and brother, Marvin Senter. Corky is survived by her two children: Rick Foster of Loveland, CO; and Julie Jones and husband Robert of Loveland, CO; two grandchildren: Dustin Jones and Megan Jones; four great-grandchildren: Derek Lee, T.J. Jones, Aubrey Jones and Kyra Schwab; niece, Donna Nolin and husband Dean of Plover, WI; other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church, Red Oak. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak Family request memorials in lieu of flowers to the First Christian Church. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
