Craig Stanley Peterson, the son of Stanley and Janice Fast Peterson was born October 7, 1965 in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away at his home on Friday, September 7, 2012 in Oakland, California at the age of 46 years and 11 months. Craig was raised in Stanton, Iowa. In 1984, he graduated from Stanton High School as salutatorian. Craig continued his education at Northwest Missouri State University for one year and then attended the University of Iowa, graduating in l988. He began his career in computers with First Data in Omaha, Nebraska. Craig later moved to Dallas, Texas and for the last several years was living and working in Oakland, California. He enjoyed playing tennis and swimming. Craig loved traveling, especially to Australia and Africa. He was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton. Craig is survived by his parents, Stanley and Janice Peterson of Stanton, IA; two sisters: Vickie Wolfe and husband Lynn of Villisca, IA; and Cindy Beeson and husband Alan of Red Oak, IA; aunts and uncles, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. May God bless his memory and give strength to those who mourn. Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Mamrelund Lutheran Church, Stanton, Iowa Rev.
