David Edward McCue, the son of Daniel McCue and Kathy Sparr, was born October 16, 1974 in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Shenandoah, Iowa due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the age of 39 years, 1 month and 10 days. David graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1994. He worked at Earl May's Distribution Center, at Diamond D until the plant closed, and currently for Nishna Productions, Inc. Redemption Center in Red Oak. David's interest as a boy was staying with his Grandpa & Grandma Sparr going camping, fishing or just playing games with them. He enjoyed swimming at the Shenandoah pool where he was known as "Diamond Dave". David enjoyed working on cars, changing motors, transmissions, breaking tires down by hand, trading/buying vehicles and riding his Harley. He was also an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. David was a kind person who helped others, even to the level of helping people after his death by donating his tissue, bone and corneas. David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Verlene Sparr; great-grandparents: Vearl and Neva Creek, Fred and Edith Sparr; step-brother, Tim Collins and nephew, Brandon Ross Collins. David is survived by his mother, Kathy (Ross) Collins of Farragut, IA; father, Daniel McCue of Villisca, IA; brother, Andy McCue of Farragut, IA; aunt, Nancy Sparr of Essex, IA; step-brother, David Collins of Austin, TX, step-sister, Lorraine Collins of Panama City, FL; sister-in-law, Christina Collins of St. Mary's, GA; nephew, Dakota Collins; niece, Bethanee Collins and great-nephew, Elijah all of St Mary's, GA; aunts and uncle: Bettie and Dwain Dobbs, and Jennifer Dobbs all of Shenandoah, IA; other relatives and friends.
