Dean Richard Nease, the son of Walter and Florence Campbell Nease was born December 16, 1931 in College Springs, Iowa. He died on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 29 days.
In his youth, Dean and the family lived in several different locations: College Springs, Iowa, Villisca, Iowa and then Colorado. He moved to Red Oak, Iowa, where he attended Red Oak High School. Dean entered the U. S. Army on February 25, 1952, serving during the Korean War. After the service, he returned to Red Oak and worked for his father's business, Nease Oil Company. Later, Dean went to work at the Union Carbide Battery Company of Red Oak as a mechanic, retiring after 35 years. Dean was united in marriage to Jeane Sederburg on April 17, 1973 in Stanton, Iowa. They made their home in Stanton until moving to a farm near Bedford, Iowa. Dean enjoyed the farm. He loved spending time fishing with his family and especially the grandchildren. Dean later went back to work as a truck driver for the prison in Clarinda, Iowa. He was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton, Iowa.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Marsha.
Dean is survived by wife, Jeane Nease of Bedford, IA; children: Rick Nease and wife LuAnn of Red Oak, IA; Diana Nease of Red Oak, IA; Alisa Eason and fiance Blaine Partridge of Clarinda, IA; Troy Sederburg and wife Debbie of Elliott, IA; DeAnn Poston and husband Russell of Bedford, IA; Jana Coughlin and husband Brian of Elliott, IA; 11 grandchildren: Amy, Holly, Amanda, Sara, Kelli, Jacki, Dusty, Paul, Dalton, C.J. and Andy; brother, Harold Nease of Ontario, CA; other relatives and a host of friends.
