Dennis L. Euken, the son of Herman and Francis (Sein) Euken was born August 3, 1937, in Atlantic, Iowa. He passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 11 days.

Dennis grew up on a farm outside of Anita, Iowa, and graduated from Anita High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and following his honorable discharge, attended Tarkio College, Tarkio, Missouri, on the G.I. Bill, to study chemistry. Dennis then moved to San Francisco, California, where he worked for a computer company. He met Molly Roberson, they married, and treasured raising their daughter, Andrea. They made their home on a ranch where they doted on and loved their horses. Later, Dennis went into the catering business, working in food service. Dennis was a very active member of his community by serving on the school board, hospital board and with the Lion's Club. He also obtained his pilot's license and enjoyed flying many, many hours over beautiful California. After the death of both his wife, Molly and daughter, Andrea, Dennis moved to Red Oak in 2023, to be close to family and live with his brother, Craig Euken. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman, mother, Francis and stepfather, Ralph Van Cleave; wife, Molly; and daughter, Andrea.

Dennis is survived by his grandson, Cole Euken, of Middletown, California; brother, Craig Euken of Red Oak, Iowa; nieces: Sueann (Dale) French, of Red Oak, Iowa and Meshell (Bill) Billings of Red Oak, Iowa; nephews: Mark (Teresa) Euken of Red Oak, Iowa and Scott (Carol) Euken of Omaha, NE; cousins, other relatives and friends.
