Devin Alexander Davis, the son of Lavonne S. Davis was born April 1, 1990 at Council Bluffs, Iowa. He passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 27 years, 6 months and 10 days.
Devin was raised in Villisca and Red Oak. In 2008, he graduated from Red Oak High School. Over the years, Devin worked for Fareway, H & H Trailer, as a carpenter and most recently, a roofer. He enjoyed being outside fishing and camping; drawing, especially roses; and eating food of all kinds. Music was a big part of Devin's life. He was in the band "The Midwest Doomdawgs" where he sang and wrote some of their music. He also loved going to concerts and listening to CDs. Devin was baptized and a member of the Nishna Church of Christ, Red Oak. Devin adored his son, Dreyven and was so proud of him and being his Daddy. He was preceded death by grandparents and great-grandparents.
Devin is survived by his son, Dreyven; special friend and mother of Dreyven, Sabrina Dawson; mother, Lavonne Squires of Villisca, IA; father who helped raised Devin, David Squires of Red Oak, IA; sisters: Amanda Smith of Red Oak, IA; and Amilee Squires & Joe McKinley of Villisca, IA; brothers: Cody & Darcie Squires of Clarinda, IA; Xavier Smith & Tori Straw of Villisca, IA; Dawson Squires of Red Oak, IA; Charles Brown & Jayce Hale of Red Oak, IA; and Nick & Kyler Strait of Red Oak, IA; grandmother, Kathaleen Davis of Red Oak, IA; uncles: Lavaaron & Patty Davis of Omaha, NE; and Lorin Davis of Red Oak, IA; honorary mom, Kathy Hale of Shenandoah, IA; and great-grandmother, Nanna Dawson of Shenandoah, IA; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
