Dolores Margaret Holm, the daughter of James and Hattie (Wiemers) Ryan was born November 1, 1928, at Pocahontas, Iowa. She passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Ramsey Village in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 94 years and 18 days.
Dolores grew up and graduated from school in Pocahontas. On February 16, 1952, Dolores was united in marriage to Gerald Holm in Pocahontas, Iowa. They lived in Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska, while Gerald managed grain elevators. In 1973, they made their home in Red Oak. Dolores worked with admitting at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital many years before retiring in 1993. She enjoyed scrapbooking and was very social, having luncheons and coffee with her friends. Dolores was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Oak. In 2014, she moved to Des Moines, Iowa, to be closer to her daughters.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald on February 8, 2010; and brother and his wife, Richard and Hideko Ryan.
Dolores is survived by her three daughters: Margaret Holm of Des Moines, IA, Jeanette (Bruce) Beckwith of Ankeny, IA, and Jean (Tim) Walker of Prairie City, IA; 8 grandchildren: Ryan (Gayla) West, Renee (Adam) Pedersen, Jerry West, Kasin (Teresa) Beckwith, Neil (Natalie) Young, Brittan (Jeremy) Toland, Scott (Kellie) Walker and Molly Walker; 16 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday morning, November 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Red Oak.
