Donald Dean Johnson, the son of Milton "Buddy" and Irene (Anderson) Johnson was born June 30, 1942, in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 20 days.

Donald was raised northeast of Villisca and graduated from Villisca High School. He began farming with his dad, and assisting him with the grain bin business, working side by side until 2001. Don served in the Iowa Army National Guard from 1964 until 1970. Donald enjoyed going hunting, attending gun shows, and was an avid Oliver tractor enthusiast and collector. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Donald is survived by two sisters: Jan (Ron) Arkfeld of Defiance, IA and Lana Bruning of Council Bluffs, IA; niece, Diana Olson; nephews: Ryan Bruning, Steven (Tova) Olson, and Jonas Bruning; grandniece, Abigail Bruning; and grandnephew, Emmett Olson; many cousins and other relatives.
