Donna Lea Patrick, the daughter of Lawrence J. and Grace E. (Cochrane) Westlake was born March 28, 1943, in Red Oak, Iowa. She passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the Everystep Kavanaugh Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 11 days.

Donna was raised in Corning, Iowa, where she attended and graduated school. Following high school, Donna moved to Red Oak to work at the Union Carbide/Eveready Battery Company. She devoted 30-plus years to the battery company. On April 2, 1965, Donna was united in marriage to Anthony "Tony" Patrick in Red Oak, Iowa. To this union was born their son, Dale Patrick. Donna did not know a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone. She loved traveling, bowling, working in her yard, mowing and raking leaves, and was devoted to walking at least five miles daily. Donna especially adored her family and treasured spending time with them.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony on February 6, 2005; daughter, Marsha Jean Patrick in infancy; brothers: Norval "Ike", Jack, Jerry, Lowell, and Max Westlake; and sisters: June Thompson, Cheryl Simmons, Phyllis Sink and Ronna Eads.

Donna is survived by her son, Dale R. (Teri) Patrick of Des Moines, IA; two grandchildren: Colin Patrick and Kyle Erickson; brother, Ruielle "Pat" (Mary) Westlake of Nevada, MO; and longtime companion, Harold Spencer of Red Oak, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
