Dorothy R. Carper, the daughter of Harry and Myrtle (Bickett) Mewhirter was born September 6, 1928. She passed away on September 27, 2016 following a brief illness.

She was united in marriage to Warren Carper on March 16, 1948 at Red Oak, Iowa. Five children were born to this union.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Warren on August 6, 1992; one daughter, Marlene; one son, Wesley, and one great-granddaughter.

Dorothy is survived by daughters: Denise Doll of Arizona and Donna (Tim) Johnson of Stanton, Iowa; son, Calvin (Cindy) Carper of Southgate, Michigan; 7 grandchildren: Troy Johnson, Casey (JoLetta) Johnson, Keala Carper, Jennifer (Matt) Clayton, Julie Carmichael, Rachel (William) Fidler, and Rhonda (Mark) Everett; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
