Obituary

Jay Douglas Woodward, the son of Charles Woodward, Sr. and Lori Sue Points, was born February 10, 1982, at Cherry Point, North Carolina. He passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 42 years, 6 months, and 23 days.

Doug graduated from Griswold High School in 2000. He moved to Red Oak and began a 23-year career with FRESCO of Red Oak. Doug was a great person who participated in many activities. He enjoyed guns, fishing, kayaking, ATV's, motorcycles, Jeeping, and cars, especially Mustangs. Doug loved to barbecue and smoke all kinds of meats. He loved being outside anytime of the year, mowing yards, pushing snow, and helping people. They say, "he was a jack of all trades." Doug loved his dog, Mia, and spending time with his twin brother, Kent and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Charles K. Woodward, Sr.; and grandparents, Jay Woodward, Fred Points, Phil Kephart, and Martin Forman.

Doug is survived by his mother, Lori Sue Points of Red Oak, IA; twin brother, Kent Woodward and fiancée Amber of Red Oak, IA; brother, Bradley (Shelby) Woodward of Munford, TN; sisters: Jackie (Chris) Mansfield of Munford, TN, Samantha Lee, Serene Lee and Shylee McMurray; step-father, Mike (Justi) McMurray of Council Bluffs, IA; step-mother, Millie Woodward of Munford, TN; and grandparents: Beverly Forman of Bennington, NE, Jody Woodward of Omaha, NE, and Kathy McMurray of Council Bluffs, IA; aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.
At Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Red Oak, Iowa
Private family burial will take place later at Hazel Dell Cemetery, Crescent, Iowa

Visitation with the family will be held Monday, September 9, 2024, at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
