Edna "Sissy" Lantz, the daughter of James Albert and Letha Edna Tobias Calhoun was born December 18, 1943 in Austin, TX. She passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 24 days. Sissy grew up in Leander, TX where she graduated from high school. She was a good worker and helped her dad pull water wells. On February 14, 1986 Sissy was united in marriage to Stephen Lantz in Leander, TX. Sissy and Steve made their home on a farm near Stanton, Iowa. She truly treasured her family and being a homemaker. Sissy loved gardening and reaped the rewards of the season by canning fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed traveling, especially to visit family and friends. Sissy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Joyce Gourley; and grandson, Coty Davidson. Sissy is survived by her husband, Stephen Lantz of rural Stanton, IA; sons: Jimmy Davidson of Stanton, IA; Robert Davidson, Timothy Davidson, and Kim Davidson all of Austin, TX; daughter, Tonya Ziembrack of MI; step-daughters: Marcelle Hamel of Lakin, KS; and Carol Lantz of Kansas City, MO; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters: Barbara Crow and Judy Cook of Leander, TX; other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak Burial in Mamre Cemetery, Stanton, Iowa Rev.
