Obituary

Edwina Mae Forward, the daughter of Fredrick M. and Myrtle I. (Shafer) Seba was born June 7, 1927 at Leigh, Nebraska. She passed away suddenly on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 18 days.

Edwina was raised near Leigh, Nebraska and graduated from Benson High School, Omaha, Nebraska in l946. She was united in marriage to Kenneth A. Cleaver on June 14, 1946 and to this union two daughters were born, Sharon and JoAnn. She attended Tenacre School of Christian Science Nursing at Princeton, New Jersey. Edwina worked in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 3 years before moving to Omaha, Nebraska. She later was united in marriage to Glen Morris Forward on September 15, 1972 at Rockport, Missouri. Edwina worked for the Great Plains Care Facility and was the director of nursing for 12 years. Edwina and Glen moved to the Macedonia area in 1989 and later moved to Red Oak in July of 2007. She was a member of the Christian Science Church. Edwin was a past state President of Rebekah's, a Drill Team leader, Rebekah Theta Rho girls leader, past member of V.F.W. Auxiliary and was named Homemaker of the Year for Farm Bureau Women. Edwina was a member of the Summit Hill Club.

Edwina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen on May 31, 2011; sisters: Deloris Bressman, Doris Bentz and Ramona McDonald and brother, William Seba.

Edwina is survived by two daughters: Sharon Kay Klima of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and JoAnn Bochmann and husband Fred of Red Oak, IA; 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

God bless her memory and give strength to those who mourn.

A private family burial will take place later at the Macedonia Cemetery, Macedonia, Iowa.
