Emma Frances Ossian returned to our Heavenly Father on December 11 ^th , 2018 at Bella Vista Assisted Living, Mesa, Arizona at 91 years of age. While her passing has left a void in our hearts, open arms await her from family and friends who have passed before.

Fran, as known to her friends, was born on March 20 ^th , 1927 to Basil and Alta Mae Frazier in Balco, Missouri. She graduated college at Northwest Missouri State College, Maryville, MO with a double major in Commerce and Home Economics. Fran loved to travel and was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. While waiting for an opportunity to be assigned to international flights, she was convinced to take a position as a Home Economics teacher in Stanton, Iowa. There she met and married Donald Ossian in 1949 and shared 40 years together. They were blessed with a daughter Karen and sons Martin and Donald. As her children were growing up, Fran's career changed directions to begin a full time Home Maker. When Fran and Don reached retirement age, they split their time between homes in Denison, Iowa and Mesa, Arizona.

After Don's passing in 1990, Fran married Gordon Young in 1996. Fran and Gordon were married 11 years before Gordon's passing in June 2008.

Fran always led an active lifestyle. Her activities included high school athletics, synchronized swim team in college, golf, bridge, chorus, little theater, and even took tap dancing and belly dancing lessons in retirement. She will be remembered for her warm smile, generosity, and treating everyone like family.

Fran is survived by her daughter Karen (Tom) Kilzer, sons Martin Ossian, Donald (Robin) Ossian. Grandchildren; Joseph (Chris) Kilzer, Melinda (Doug) Slings, Jesse Ossian, Skylar Ossian, five Great Grandchildren and a world of friends.

Funeral services will be held at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home in Red Oak, Iowa at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 27 ^th , 2018. Burial will be at the Mamre Cemetery in Stanton, Iowa.

A post reception will be held at the Swedish Heritage and Cultural Center in Stanton, Iowa.

A celebration of life service will be held for Fran at the Fountain of the Sun Country Club in Mesa, AZ on January 20 ^th , 2019 at 3:30 pm.
