Rensch
February 22, 1932 – February 26, 2024
Georgia May Rensch, the daughter of William J. and Edene (Olson) Brown, was born February 22, 1932, at Valentine, Nebraska. She passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, in Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 92 years and 4 days.
Throughout Georgia's childhood, the family lived in South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa. She finished school in Cooper, Iowa, and this is also where she met her future husband, Joe. On January 7, 1950, Georgia was united in marriage to Donald M. "Joe" Rensch in Guthrie Center, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Donald G., Daniel J., and Pamela. In 1954, the family made their home in Red Oak. Over the years, Georgia worked for the Glenwood State School, Murphy Calendar Company, CDS and drove truck with her husband. She cherished the many road trips with Joe. Georgia also enjoyed bowling, and for many years attended Community Bible Study. She was a past member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Thos D. Murphy 15-20 Year Club. Georgia especially treasured spending time with her family and friends.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe on September 1, 1999; son, Donald Rensch; grandson, Daniel J. Rensch; two sisters: Laurel Smith and Rose Keast; and five brothers: Dennis, David, William, Howard, and Don.
Georgia is survived by her two children: Daniel (Mary Ann) Rensch of State Center, IA and Pamela (Rodney) Nelson of Red Oak, IA; 5 grandchildren: Donny Rensch, Jr., Todd Rensch, Wendi (Ed) Wilkins, Mindy Riibe and significant other, Joe Smith, and Kristina (Bryan) Skalberg; 10 great-grandchildren: Todd Rensch II, Alyssa (Dillon) Burns, Austin, Ashley and Ace Wilkins, Alexa (Nate) Mackey, Karley Rensch, Nathaniel Skalberg, and Kiley and Kadyn Riibe; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren: Tish Lanteri and Jeremy Burnett; several step-great-grandchildren; brothers: Richard (Connie) Brown of Council Bluffs, IA and Charles Brown of Marshalltown, IA; and sister, Rhonda Wickering of Marshalltown, IA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
At Hillside Cemetery, Elliott, Iowa
Family and friends will meet at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home on Friday at 1:15 p.m. for procession to the cemetery at 1:15 p.m.
Open viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak. Family will not be present.
Memorials may be directed to the family or Open Door Mission.
Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of Georgia's arrangements and serving her family.
