Obituary

Mary Geraldine Clark, the daughter of Joseph H. and Mary (Schaub) Bruce was born May 19, 1921 near Greeley, Nebraska. She passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at her home in Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 17 days.
Geraldine and her family moved to Iowa when she was five years old. Geraldine was united in marriage to John "Terrance" Hartman on November 8, 1941 at Red Oak. They made their home on several farms they worked throughout their 43-year marriage, before Terry's passing in 1984. On May 29, 1993 Geraldine was united in marriage to John O. Clark at Red Oak. They lived in Des Moines for five years before moving back to Red Oak. They loved traveling all over the United States and Canada, even visiting Australia. Geraldine was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Oak. Her hobbies included sewing and making projects out of wood.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Terrance Hartman on November 5, 1984, and John Clark on January 24, 2002; brothers: Leo Bruce and wife Marie, and Glen Bruce and wife Fern; sisters: Dorothy Martin, and Agnes Jack and husband James; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Bruce.
Geraldine is survived by 2 daughters: Theresa Limbrick of Red Oak, IA, and Susanne Colter of Council Bluffs, IA; step-son, Michael Clark of New Virginia, IA; 6 grandchildren: Ron (Renae) Limbrick of Red Oak, IA, Lynn (Jennifer) Colter of Council Bluffs, IA, Laura (Tracy) Lincoln of Council Bluffs, IA, Michael (Robin) Colter of Council Bluffs, IA, Elaine (Matthew) Todd of LaVista, NE and Jamie (Jody) Colter of LaMesa, CA; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; twin brother, Gerald Bruce of Red Oak, IA; brother, Bernard (Mae) Bruce of Loveland, CO; and sister, Kathleen (Raymond) Pettinger of Burchard, NE; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held
Thursday, May 12, 1016 at 10:00 a.m.
At St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Oak, Iowa
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak
Father Tom Kunnel, TOR, Officiating
Wake Service will be held Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home
A memorial is being established in Geraldine's name.
