Gregory Dean Garrison, the son of Charles and Leota Echternach Garrison was born August 5, 1963 at Canton, Illinois. He died suddenly on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Loring Hospital, Sac City, Iowa from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the age of 44 years, 6 months and 13 days. Greg lived in Illinois until he was 10 years of age and moved to Iowa where he lived the remainder of his life. He graduated from Avoca High School in l981. He was united in marriage to Francine Florent in September of 2004. Greg was a certified welder by trade and took a lot of pride in the work that he had done. He was a kind, loving, and generous man who loved his family more than himself. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Greg loved life and enjoyed it as much as he could. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Charles on November 16, 1993. Greg is survived by his loving wife, Francine Garrison of Ida Grove, IA; mother, Leota Garrison of Ida Grove, IA; his only daughter, Samantha Jo and husband Oliver Falknor of Council Bluffs, IA; his only grandson, Keagan James Falknor of Council Bluffs, IA; step-daughter, Jenny Nangreaves of Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada; step-son, Eric Florent of Laval, Quebec, Canada; step-grandchildren: Crystal and Ametyst Nangreaves of Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada; many other loved family members and friends. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Sellergren Lindell DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak Officiating, Rev. Nancy Schultz Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
