Harry Lowell Mascher was born in Clarinda, Iowa on May 10, 1931 to Carl Albert and Bessie May Ridnour Mascher. He passed away on January 12, 2010 in Arizona at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 2 days. Harry lived most of his life in Red Oak. He was united in marriage to Violet Woodyard in l941, and to this union a daughter was born. In l963, he married Janice Elaine Bruce. Harry drove a truck for many years. Over the years he had served as a policeman, fireman and in the National Guard. Harry worked for Red Oak Machine a good number of years and then for Red Oak Greenhouse. In September 2007, he moved to Mesa, Arizona. Harry was preceded in death by both parents; wife, Janice; sister, Ina Mae Mascher; half-sister, Joanne Ridnour; and half-brother, Gerald Heuer. Harry is survived by his daughter, Luada Lewis and Terry; and daughter, Barb Stanley and Bill; 4 grandchildren: Christina Sweador and Mike, Rachelle Stine, Clayton Lewis and Darcie, and Lindsay Atkin and Rob; great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Marie Lewis, Rylie Anne Lewis, and Mia Sweador; and brother, Clay Heuer and Judy. Harry is also survived by his companion, Marilyn Stump. Burial of cremated remains will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa Father Ken Gross, Officiating Visitation with the family will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Red Oak Eagles Lodge, Red Oak, Iowa.
