Jack Lynn Martin, the son of Gale and Jessie (Reynolds) Martin, was born March 9, 1933, at Ina, Illinois. He passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society, Villisca, Iowa, surrounded by the love and prayers of those closest to him, near and far, at the age of 91 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Jack graduated from high school in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He then graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he was in the ROTC program. Jack joined the United States Air Force as an officer and served as a navigator. He later worked as an auditor for the IRS and then founded Martin Accounting. Jack was a loving father who raised two children: Randy S. and Lynn Ann. Later in life, he met his wife Tammy Farnum in Belleville, Illinois, and was married on December 19, 1993. They were successful restaurant owners for 17 years. At the same time, he invented water conservation devices and ran that business selling those devices worldwide. Jack worked until the age of 83 as a business financial consultant.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, Gale Martin; mother, Jessie (Reynolds) Martin; his younger brother, Gary; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Farnum; nephew, Kyle Campbell and beloved fur babies.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Tamara Martin of Red Oak, IA; sister, Beverly Simpson; brothers: David (Donna) Martin and Ronald (Susie) Martin; and brother-in-law, Randy Farnum and sister-in-law, Jennifer Campbell. He will be missed dearly by his nieces and nephews to whom he was a great support and mentor. Also, many dear friends who have good memories and admiration for him.

Memorial graveside service will be held at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa.
Memorials should be directed to the family for future designation.
