James Steven Bergemann, the son of Steve and Terri Treuthardt Bergemann was born December 10, 1976 at Monroe, Wisconsin. He died on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Creighton Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the age of 32 years and 20 days. Jim lived most of his life in Monroe, WI. While in high school, Jim enjoyed building houses with the Capstone Club. He loved woodworking and was a great carpenter. Jim was involved with fire-fighting and EMS. He had completed Fire-Fighter level I & II and basic EMT certification. Jim was united in marriage to Tracy L. Meyers on June 28, 2004 in Darlington, WI. By trade, Jim was a welder and was currently working for Brown Bear in Corning, IA. His hobbies included model and small scale trains, along with being a history buff of W.W. II and Vietnam. Jim liked to read and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved to display his Christmas lights each year. Jim and Tracy moved to Red Oak in June of 2008. Most recently, Jim had joined the Iowa Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Roy Bergemann and brother, Kim Liddicoat. Jim is survived by his wife: Tracy Bergemann of Red Oak, Iowa; children: Jacob Bergemann; and MacKenzie Bergemann both of Traverse City, Michigan; Sean Cody Anderson; and Bradley Meyers both of Red Oak, Iowa; Dallas Meyers of Platteville, Wisconsin; father: Steve Bergemann of Monroe, Wisconsin; mother: Terri Reynolds and husband Richard of Monroe, Wisconsin; brother: Chad Bergemann of Monroe, Wisconsin; grandparents: Joyce Bergemann, Walt Treuthardt, Judy Treuthardt and Mary Kay Wehinger all of Monroe, Wisconsin; other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak, IA Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, IA Visitation with the family present at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial is being established in Jim's name.
