James W. Penry, the son of Bert and Olive (Buffon) Penry was born September 30, 1925 at Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 95 years, 1 month and 23 day.

James had lived his entire life in Red Oak. He worked for a while with the Continental-Trailways Bus lines here in Red Oak. He later worked for over 20 years with Thos D. Murphy Calendar Company. James was an avid participant at the Izaak Walton league near Stanton, Iowa. He enjoyed growing a large garden each year and walking his dog.

James was preceded in death by his parents: brothers: Francis and Fay; sisters: Elsie Orr, Mary Hammer, Nancy Penry and Shirley Penry.

James is survived by a sister, Mrs. Laura Anderson of Red Oak, IA and brother, Guy Penry of Red Oak, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
