Jeffrey Craig Lundgren, the son of Delaine and LaVose Dahlstrom Lundgren was born February 12, 1958 in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away at his home on Saturday, April 19, 2008 after fighting a courageous battle against cancer for two and a half years. Jeff was 50 years, 2 months and 7 days. Jeff graduated from Essex High School in l976. He was united in marriage to Karen Palmquist on November 28, 1981 in Stanton, Iowa. Jeff farmed east of Essex all his life. He loved his family and enjoyed his friends. Jeff was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Stanton, Iowa. Jeff is survived by his wife, Karen of Essex, IA; daughters: Mary Lundgren of Shenandoah, IA and fiancé, Bryan Clark of New Market, IA; Emma Lundgren and Beth Lundgren of the home; parents, Delaine and LaVose Lundgren of Clarinda, IA; brother, Jerry Lundgren and wife Barb of Omaha, NE; parents-in-law, Don and Jean Palmquist of Red Oak, IA; sisters-in-law: Linda Kaufman and husband Bruce of Sparta, WI; and Diane Brunette of Seattle, WA; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Paul Warder, Officiating Burial in Mission Covenant Cemetery, rural Stanton, Iowa Visitation with family present at Evangelical Covenant Church, Stanton on Monday evening, April 21 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family requests memorials in lieu of flowers for a memorial being established in Jeff's name.
