Obituary

Jeffrey Lynn Palmquist, the son of Bernard and Willa (Rector) Palmquist was born April 7, 1960 at Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his home in rural Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 56 years, 9 months and 1 day.

Jeff was raised north of Stanton on the family farm and graduated from Griswold High School in 1978. He received his auto mechanic certificate from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Jeff's career began with Big A Auto Parts in Red Oak, followed by O'Reilly Auto Parts, R. K. Belts & Sons and most recently at Orscheln Farm and Home. Jeff's hobbies involved his silver Chevelle and Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed listening to the music group, "The Doors" and spending time with his dog, Sarge and family.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Bernard and brother, Keith.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Jessica Pelzer and husband Jared of Griswold, IA; grandson, Jaxton Pelzer; beloved dog, Sarge; mother, Willa Palmquist of Red Oak, IA; brothers: Steven Palmquist and wife Kathryn of Cedar Falls, IA and Thomas Palmquist of rural Red Oak, IA; sister, Joyce Hargis and husband Al of Council Bluffs, IA; nephews: Jason Palmquist and Aaron Rindone and wife Sasha; nieces: Melanie Gravdal and husband Brian and Melissa Rindone; great-nephews and nieces; other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Visitation will be held

Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

At Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak

Family request Casual dress.

Burial will be held later in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
