John Robert Docker Jr, the son of John Robert and Ruth Arlene Brown Docker was born December 13, 1967 in Red Oak, Iowa. He died on Saturday, March 14, 2009 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. John was raised on a farm in the Wales area and graduated from Red Oak High School in l986. During his school years, John enjoyed being active in 4-H and FFA. John loved hunting, trapping and farming while living on the farm at Wales. He was an avid reader. He had been a long time employee of Treat America, a food service company. Most recently he enjoyed spending time with his 6 nieces and nephews, playing badminton and watching movies late into the night. John especially looked forward to the week they spent with him each summer. John was preceded in death by a sister; LaVonne Smith in 1983. John is survived by his parents; Robert and Ruth Docker of Council Bluffs, IA; sisters: Judy Wolz of Bellevue, NE and her children Travis and Tracy; Connie Mellott and husband Steve of Wales, IA and their children Evan and Lucas; Janelle Durlin and husband Scott of State Center, IA and their children Aaron and Emily; other relatives and friends. John's wishes were to be cremated A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak, Iowa Rev. Michael Harvey, Officiating Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home Memorials are suggested to the family.
