Jordan Elwood "JT" Taylor, the son of Jason and Shannon Taylor, and the late Carlene Anderson was born November 8, 2000 at Shenandoah, Iowa. He passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 15 years, 5 months and 1 day.
Jordan attended Red Oak Community Schools where he was a member of the ROHS freshman class. He loved sports, especially football and wrestling. He was a proud Red Oak Tiger and played football, wearing jersey #30, along with being on the wrestling team. When Jordan wasn't on the football field or wrestling mat, he enjoyed playing video games. Jordan loved spending time with his family and many friends. He was sarcastic and witty, and loved to make others laugh. Along with being a Tiger through and through, Jordan was a huge fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Denver Broncos. Jordan was not only brave, he was very kind, loving and strong.
Jordan was preceded in death by his mother, Carlene Anderson and grandmother, Ruth Gay.
Jordan is survived by his parents, Jason and Shannon Taylor of Red Oak, IA; sister, Alexis Taylor of Red Oak, IA; brother, Dylan Taylor of Clarinda, IA; and grandparents: Donna Hodge of Newton, IA; Jerry Taylor of Littleton, CO; Jay and Sherry Lininger of Clarinda, IA; and Fred and Stephanie Woodend of San Diego, CA; along with other relatives and many friends.

Visitation with the family present will be held Thursday, April 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak.
Family requests memorials in lieu of flowers to the Jordan Taylor Memorial.
