Julie Ann Brown, the daughter of Doyle and Dorothy (Melton) Mellott was born June 20, 1942. She passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2020 in Bullhead City, Arizona at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 8 days.

Julie graduated from Stennett High School in 1960. She played basketball in high school and continued to enjoy sports throughout her life. Julie continued her education and received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She taught in the Omaha Public School System for 12 years and after 17 years with the Mohave Valley Elementary School District, she retired. Julie was an avid swimmer and enjoyed boating and waterskiing. She had lived the past 30 years at Bullhead City, Arizona.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Julie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dr. Emmett Brown of Bullhead City, AZ; brother, Gary Mellott of Florida; step-sons: Jeffery Brown of Phoenix, AZ and Matthew Brown of El Paso, TX; five grandchildren: Zachary, Dakota, and Jadelyn of Phoenix and Lincoln and Carson of El Paso; and two great-grandchildren: Jaden and Zoe of Phoenix; other relatives and friends.
