Keith Melvin Woods, the son of Melvin and Inez (Dickey) Woods, was born April 18, 1958, in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away suddenly on March 18, 2025, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa, the age of 66 years and 11 months.

Keith was raised in Red Oak and graduated from Red Oak High School in 1976. He entered the U. S. Navy on January 3, 1977, and was honorably discharged on June 2, 1982. Keith continued his education at Kansas State University, receiving his PhD in Biology and worked for Kansas State in medical research. In 2010, Keith returned to Red Oak with a mission to remodel his parent's home. He enjoyed fishing and working on the home improvement projects. Keith was preceded by his parents.

Keith is survived by his two brothers: Dr. Mark (Elizabeth) Woods of Morrison, IL and Doug Woods of Red Oak, IA; other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service was held in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa.
