Kenneth Everett
Meyer
April 1, 1928 – December 13, 2020
Kenneth Everett Meyer, the son of Everett and Hattie (Hines) Meyer was born April 1, 1928 at Chandler, Indiana. He passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 12 days.
The family moved to the Grant, Iowa area when Kenneth was a young child. He attended school in the area and graduated from Grant High School. Kenneth was united in marriage to Nola McFarland on August 16, 1958 at Cromwell, Iowa. They lived in St. Marys, Iowa and then moved to a farm west of Lenox, Iowa where they lived for several years. While farming, Kenneth also began a career as an over-the-road truck driver. In 1970, Kenneth and Nola moved to Red Oak. Kenneth loved old tractors, attending tractor shows and tractor pulls and even restored some old ones. He built his one-of-a-kind tractor which he loved driving in parades. Kenneth was also a part of a group who enjoyed demonstrating and plowing with their two and three bottom plows. He enjoyed "coffee time" and talking tractors with his friends. Kenneth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents: son, Dean Meyer; infant daughter, Bonnie; sister, Edna Page and brother-in-law, Danny Eggleston.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Nola Meyer of Red Oak, IA; son, Glen Meyer of Red Oak, IA; sister, Mary (Richard) Lister of Red Oak, IA; brother-in-law, Jack (Judy) McFarland; sister-in-law; Betty McFarland of Red Oak, IA; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held
Friday, December 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
Grant Cemetery, Grant, Iowa
Family and friends may gather at the cemetery for the service.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
