L.E. Kinser, the son of Harvey B. and Bell Salyers Kinser, was born December 13, 1915 in Lewis, Iowa. He died on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 9 days. During L.E.'s youth, he lived in the Iowa communities of Griswold, Oakland and Lewis. L.E. was united in marriage to Ina Lucille McKeane on September 21, 1933 in Red Oak, Iowa. They made their home in Council Bluffs, Iowa and later Shenandoah, Iowa before moving to Stennett, Iowa in l948. In 1950, L.E. and Ina moved to Red Oak. Throughout his career, L.E. farmed, worked for Wilson Concrete and on September 13, 1948 began working at Union Carbide Battery Company in Red Oak. He retired from Union Carbide in 1978 after 30 years of service. L.E. loved motorcycles, fishing and camping. He and Ina enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. L.E. treasured time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. L.E. was a member of the AMA, Rangers Motorcycle Club, a past member of Red Oak Eagles Lodge and Care Free Campers Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ina on May 27, 2001; sons: Raymond and Richard; grandson: Nicky Kinser; great-grandson, Travis Shearer; and son-in-law, Wayne Brown. L.E. is survived by 3 sons: Kenneth Kinser and wife Gloria of Red Oak, IA; Leonard Kinser and wife Sharon of Omaha, NE; and Michael Kinser and wife Janice of Kansas City, KS; 2 daughters: Deloris Brown of Corning, IA; and Joan Eyestone of Omaha, NE; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, D.A. Kinser of Red Oak, IA; other relatives and friends. May God bless his memory and give strength to those who mourn. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak Burial in Griswold Cemetery, Griswold, Iowa Rev. Alan Dean, Officiating Visitation with the family present on Monday evening, March 24 at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial is being established in L. E.
