LeRoy Bernard Carlson, the son of Bernard and Gladys (Butrick) Carlson was born December 15, 1941 at Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Accura Healthcare, Stanton, Iowa at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 1 day.

LeRoy was raised in the Stanton area. He attended Prairie Home country school and Stanton Community Schools. Over the years, LeRoy worked for Floyd and John Carlson and Lamont Wallin as their farmhand. LeRoy was also employed with the Stanton Community Schools and doing a variety of part-time jobs. Anyone acquainted with LeRoy knew he was a kind-hearted soul and very friendly. He was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Stanton, Iowa. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ann Fisher.

LeRoy is survived by three sisters: Kathaleen Suchting of Ottumwa, IA, Mary (Gary) Maher of Imogene, IA and Ladonna (Gary) Tye of Red Oak, IA; brother in-law, Gale Fisher of Villisca, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
