Lilly Mae Stogdill Casteel, the daughter of Lincoln G. and Nevada A. (Guisti) Harris was born June 9, 1934 at Hawthorne, Nevada. She passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 1 day. Lilly was raised in Hawthorne, Nevada where she also attended school. She moved to the Red Oak, Iowa area in l955. Lilly was a waitress for many years at both Johnny's Steak House and the Rainbow Café, along with working at several factories in Red Oak. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and being on her computer. She was a big fan of Pepsi, Taco Pizza and Butterfinger candy bars. She loved spending time with her family, especially treasuring her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lilly also enjoyed the company of her dog, Max. Lilly was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy Ingalls and sister, Hilda Green. Lilly is survived by her daughter, Nevada Watson and husband Dale of Stanton, IA; son, Danny Stogdill of Red Oak, IA; four grandchildren: Julie White and husband Justin, Mandy Serna, Morgan Dunkerson and husband Dustin, and Amber Nelson and husband Adam; three step-grandchildren: Dale Watson Jr., William Watson III and Daniel Watson; five great-grandchildren: Michael, Mariah, Cayden, Paola and Ukume; brothers: Danny Harris and wife Joan of Twin Falls, ID and Leonard Ingalls and wife Cathy of Rupert, ID; other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday evening, May 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Red Oak Rev. Len Taylor, Officiating Memorials may be directed to the family. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
