Marcella Ellen Jarvis' Obituary
Marcella Ellen (Bryson) Jarvis, the daughter of A. J. and Bertha (Shafer) Bryson was born December 29, 1927 in Montgomery County, Iowa near Villisca. She passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 20 days.
Marcella graduated from Grant High School in l945. She was united to Kenneth F. Jarvis on January 3, 1947 at Grant, Iowa They made their home in the Grant area until 1997, when they moved to Red Oak. Marcella was a wonderful caregiver, helping care for her mother-in-law, husband and son, Greg. Marcella enjoyed flower gardening and having coffee with friends. She belonged to a local garden club and diet club. Marcella was a member of the Grant United Methodist Church and Grant American Legion Auxiliary.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth on April 23, 1998; sisters: Louise and Phyllis; brothers: Robert, Junior, Rolland and Don; and son-in-law, Virgil Isaac.
Marcella is survived by her children: Nancy Isaac of Junction City, KS and Greg Jarvis of Red Oak, IA; grandsons: Kenny (Becky) Isaac and Mark Isaac both of Junction City, KS; sisters: Mrs. Mary Weston of Red Oak, IA and Mrs. Martha Tibken of Atlantic, IA; and sister-in-law, Helen Bryson of Afton, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
