Margie Maye Jenkins, the daughter of Oren J. and Harriett M. (Geesman) Rush was born May 23, 1925 in Waveland Township of Pottawattamie County, Iowa. She passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Stanton Care Center, Stanton, Iowa at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 8 days.

Margie was raised in the Griswold, Iowa area. On October 31, 1942, Margie was united in marriage to Delbert F. Jenkins at Maryville, Missouri. They made their home on their farm near Griswold where she helped Delbert with their farming operation. For a number of years, Margie also worked at nursing homes in Red Oak and Griswold. She touched many young lives as a long time Sunday School teacher. In 2007, Margie became a resident of Stanton Care Center.

Margie is survived by her husband, Delbert Jenkins of Red Oak, IA, other relatives and friends.

Margie's wishes were to be cremated and a private family burial will take place at a later date in the Pleasant Township Cemetery south of Griswold, Iowa.

Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation.
