Obituary

Marjorie Mae Archer, the daughter of Clifford C. and Rose E. Houser Page was born August 15, 1929 in Red Oak, Iowa. She passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska, the age of 80 years, 10 months and 9 days. Marjorie lived her entire life in Red Oak. Marjorie was united in marriage to Stanley H. Archer on May 10, 1947 in Red Oak, IA. For a short time she worked at the Thos. D Murphy Calendar Company. Marjorie was very dedicated to her family. She spent most of her years as a homemaker. Marjorie enjoyed many hobbies which included: crocheting, baking, crosswords puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and collecting bottles. She also loved being outdoors fishing, camping, riding on air boats, gardening and growing flowers. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Stanley H. Archer on August 28, 1989; 4 sisters: Viola Page, Fayetta Cassidy, Mary Ross and Florence Archer; and 4 brothers: John, Levi "Pete", Frank "Bud" and Chester. Marjorie is survived by daughter: Diana Cook and husband Danny of Red Oak, IA and son: Stan "Bub" Archer of Red Oak, IA; 6 grandchildren: Marcy Cook, Jennifer Cashatt and husband Chris, Andrea Weston and husband Josh, Melissa Archer, Justin Archer and wife Nicole, and Kyle Archer; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Shirley Snyder and husband Alton, JoAnn Hawker and Gladys Clark all of Red Oak, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. May God bless her memory and give strength to those who mourn. Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak Rev. Alan Dean, Officiating Visitation with the family present on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home A memorial is being established in Marjorie's name. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
