Mary Louise Blackburn, the daughter of Jesse "Pearl" and Mable A. (Resh) Woodin was born July 2, 1937 at Red Oak, Iowa. She passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age 82 years, 8 months and 22 days.

Mary was raised on a farm northwest of Essex, Iowa and in 1956, graduated from Essex High School. On June 23, 1957, Mary was united in marriage to Richard Blackburn at Essex, Iowa, and they soon made their home in Red Oak. Over the years, Mary worked for a clothing store, Warren's Jewelry and Family Shoe Store, but her most valued job in life was being the mother to her four children and wife to Richard.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and great-granddaughter, Madison.

Mary is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard Blackburn of Red Oak, IA; two sons: Terry (Karen) Blackburn of Lincoln, NE and Rick Blackburn of Red Oak, IA; two daughters: Diane (Ted) Briggs of Red Oak, IA and Cheryl (Scott) Marsden of Papillion, NE; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-granddaughters; and brother, Donald Woodin of Essex, IA; other relatives and friends.

Memorial Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak.
