Obituary

Mary Lee Ross, the daughter of Clifford and Rose Houser Page was born August 5, 1940 in Red Oak, Iowa. She died on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 68 years, 6 months and 27 days.

Mary attended school and lived all her life in Red Oak. Mary was united in marriage to Richard O. Ross on September 13, 1962 in Omaha, NE. She worked alongside her husband with the family masonry business as well as being a waitress at the Rainbow Café for over 40 years. She enjoyed drinking coffee and playing cards with family and friends. Mary loved to paint and wallpaper and was always doing something at her home. Mary baked wonderful apple pies for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard on June 15, 1994; sisters: Viola Page, Fayetta Cassidy, and Florence Archer; and brothers: John, Levi 'Pete', Frank 'Bud', and Chester.

Mary is survived by her four children: Scott Ross and wife Hope of Red Oak, IA; Sheila Vander Tuig and husband Paul of Baldwin City, KS; Sharon Allison and husband John of Red Oak, IA; and Shelley Lovick and husband Mike of Rosemount, MN; 12 grandchildren: Dustin, Megan, Paige, Tylor, Tristin, Amanda, Justin, Kelsey, Christopher, Tyrone, Dylan, and Dakota; two great-grandchildren: Allie and Kaiden; four sisters: Marjorie Archer, Shirley Snyder and husband Alton, JoAnn Hawker, and Gladys Clark all of Red Oak, IA; sisters-in-law: Marcia Helm and husband LeRoy,and Gwen Hossle and husband Max all of Red Oak, IA; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak
Burial at Evergreen Cemetery
Rev. Alan Dean, Officiating

Visitation with the family present at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

A memorial is being established in Mary's name.
