Mary Helen Watt, the daughter of Lloyd Gilbert Watt and Wilma Jane Dickerson was born on October 20, 1945 at Brunswick, Nebraska. She passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 14 days.
Mary lived in Brunswick, Nebraska before the family moved to Marshalltown, Iowa. She graduated from Marshalltown High School and Iowa State University, with a degree in music therapy. Later, Mary earned a degree from University of Kansas. She worked many years in cultural relations at Veterans Hospitals in Lincoln, Nebraska and California, and in Aurora, Colorado with message therapy. In October of 2014, Mary was united in marriage to James Sage and in 2015, they made their home in Red Oak. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary is survived by her husband, James Sage of Red Oak, IA; step-son, Rudy Sage of Denver, CO; step-daughter, Cornelia Sage Lara of Visalia, CA; brother, Delwyn (Shirley) Watt of Sedalia, AZ; two step-grandchildren: Joseph and Davin; and nieces: Darlene Watt and Diane Utterback; other relatives and many friends.

Mary's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held on
Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
at Grace Baptist Church, Red Oak, Iowa
