Mary Elizabeth Weston's Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Weston, the daughter of A.J. and Bertha (Shafer) Bryson was born April 3, 1930 in Montgomery County, Iowa. She passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 87 years and 7 months.
Mary was raised in the Grant area. She graduated from Grant High School in 1947 and moved to Red Oak. On March 12, 1949, Mary was united in marriage to Avery "Ace" Weston in Red Oak. Mary worked 18 years at the Thos. D. Murphy Calendar Company, and then 7 years at Eveready Battery Company, before going into the home healthcare field. She loved to read, work puzzle books and play solitaire. Mary enjoyed visiting with her many friends and neighbors at Acorn Acres.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ace on January 20, 1987; grandson, Chris Laire; four brothers: Robert Bryson, Junior Bryson, Rolland Bryson and Don Bryson; and three sisters: Louise Baker, Phyllis Lind and Marcella Jarvis.
Mary is survived by her two children: Rick (Carrie) Weston of Red Oak, IA and Avis (Jim) Eitzen of Red Oak, IA; 10 grandchildren: Josh Weston, Naomi (Travis) Gettler, Jerod (Tina) Weston, Danette Weston, Karly Dunn, Corey (Heather) Laire, Joel (Kristy) Eitzen, Kristin Eitzen, Khela (Chris) McDonald and Brandon Eitzen; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-granddaughters; and sister, Martha Tibken of Atlantic, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
At the Grant Cemetery, Grant, Iowa
