Maxine Elizabeth Raymond's Obituary
Maxine Elizabeth Raymond, the daughter of Edward A. and Nettie F. Truitt Raymond was born December 21, 1919 in Red Oak, Iowa. She passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 9 days.
Maxine grew up on a farm north of Red Oak. She graduated from Elliott High School in l939. Maxine worked in her early years for an insurance office and at the variety store. Maxine lived on the farm with her parents until 1970, when they moved into Red Oak. During this time, she worked for many families in their homes, while continuing to care for her parents. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Red Oak and Rebecca Circle.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Edward Raymond; sister, Eileen Wookey and brother-in-law, Dale Peterson.
Maxine is survived by sister, Mrs. Gwen Peterson of Red Oak, IA; brother, Duane Raymond and wife Joanne of Jefferson, OR; brother-in-law, Robert Wookey of Red Oak, IA; many nieces & nephews; many great nieces & nephews; many great-great nieces & nephews; other relatives and friends.
