Mildred Marie "Millie" Magneson was born August 31, 1927, at Milaca, Minnesota. She passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the Red Oak Good Samaritan Society, Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 95 years, 11 months and 9 days.
Mildred was raised on a farm near Milaca, Minnesota, where she attended school. She worked at a bakery in Milaca before moving to Des Moines, Iowa, and before too long, moved to Red Oak. On August 20, 1947, Millie was united in marriage to Clarence Donovan "CD" Magneson at Wallin, Iowa, and they made their home in Red Oak. For years, Millie worked at Johnson Hotel and Spurgeon's Department Store in the candy department. She loved flowers and planted them all around her house. Millie enjoyed playing cards and was the happiest when all her children would gather to play with her. In her later years, she enjoyed trips to the casino as fun little getaways. Millie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Red Oak.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, CD Magneson on March 17, 2012; son, Darrell Magneson on March 17, 1995; grandson, Jacob Magneson; great-granddaughter, Chelsea Ringer; brothers: David Jones and Robert Jones; sisters: Ruthie Magneson, Helen Schubert, Doris Haase Ortloff and twin sister, Marie Jones; niece, Debbie Magneson and nephew, Jeff Haase.
Mildred is survived by five children: Gerald (Patricia) Magneson of Des Moines, IA, Bruce Magneson of Red Oak, IA, Dwight Magneson of Red Oak, IA, Gordon (Lisa) Magneson of Red Oak, IA and LaDonna (Rick) Johnson of Stanton, IA; daughter-in-law, Shelly Bice of Woodward, IA; 12 grandchildren: Brook Lynn (Ryan) Stone, Parker Magneson, Grant Magneson, Cheryl Thomas, Scott Thomas, Ryan Magneson, Travis (Daylee) Magneson, Stacey (Zack) Harmon, Drew (Cathy) Magneson, Derrick (Danielle) McAdams, Eric (Kayla) Johnson and Nicole (Jason) Smith; 20 great-grandchildren: Daxton & Taylee Stone, Matthew, Christina and Ashley Ringer, Suzanne Thomas, Scott Jr. & Sloan Thomas, Lilliana, Karisma and Dean Magneson, Liam Harmon, Duke Magneson, Aidan McAdams, Jadin Johnson, DJ Curry, Jayceon Johnson, Donavon & Millianna Johnson and Brier Smith; 3 great-great-grandchildren: Jade, Taina and Abraham Ringer; niece/sister, Lucille Moy of Minneapolis, MN; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Johnson of Stanton, IA and Karen Urick of MO; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. a t Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Red Oak, Iowa
Visitation with the family on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Memorials may be given in Mildred's name for future designation.
Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is in charge of Mildred's arrangements and serving her family.
