Nancy Dolores Bacon, the daughter of John Olof and Dolores Lorraine (Johnson) Malmberg was born July 5, 1962 in Red Oak, Iowa. She passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 51 years, 5 months and 26 days. Nancy was raised in Red Oak and graduated from Red Oak High School in 1980. She moved to the Glenwood, Iowa community in l984 and began her 29 year career with the Glenwood Resource Center. She loved animals, especially her three dogs and cat. Nancy's hobbies included crafting and jewelry making. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. Nancy is survived by her two sons: Travis Bacon of Bellevue, NE and Nicholas Harper of Bellevue, NE; brothers: Larry (Margaret) Malmberg of Council Bluffs, IA, and Garry (Susan) Malmberg of Papillion, NE; special friend: Luis Mendez; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak Rev. John Swenson, Officiating Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, January 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home Memorials may be made to the Nancy Bacon Memorial Fund.
