Obituary

Nelly Dow, the daughter of Nathan and Helen Rosner was born April l7, 1937 at Mszczonow, Poland. She passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 21 days.
Nelly was raised in Poland and Germany. The family left Europe to settle in Emerson, Manitoba, Canada. Nelly was united in marriage to Benjamin "Leland" Dow on June 12, 1963 at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. They moved to Louisiana as Leland went to work in the oil fields. Nelly was a busy homemaker and mom to their two children, Luke and Barbara. In 1986, Nelly and Leland made their home in Red Oak, Iowa. Nelly enjoyed raising a large garden and sharing her harvest with family and friends, sewing and helping others. She was an animal lover and adored her pets over the years. Nelly attended Grace Baptist Church in Red Oak, as faith was her foundation and was involved with churches wherever she called home.
Nelly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland on May 25, 1994; and brother, Arnold Rosner.
Nelly is survived by her son, Luke (Brenda) Dow of Red Oak, IA and daughter, Barbara (Joe) Sallach of Red Oak, IA; and two grandchildren, Sydney Hope Sallach and John Harlan Joe Arnold Sallach; other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
at Grace Baptist Church
